Favourite Face Cleanser - Lush Angels on Bare Skin
I started using Lush's Angels on Bare Skin fresh facial cleanser last year when my skin was quite problematic and spotty and it's now become a staple in my face routine.
This face cleanser is said to "even out skin tone, reduce redness and improve the health and appearance of your skin, giving a natural healthy glow". It definitely lives up to its claims. After using the cleanser for a short time my mum and grandma commented on how healthy my skin was looking. I noticed a difference too - my skin looked brighter and I had less pimples.
If you didn't already know, Lush is a brand which uses fresh, organic, ethical, and vegetarian ingredients in their products that are not tested on animals and are handmade locally. So this facial cleanser is packed with amazing ingredients, which are listed on their website as:
Ground Almonds (Prunus dulcis), Glycerine (Glycerine), Kaolin (Kaolin), Water (Aqua), Lavender Oil ((Lavandula angustifolia)), Rose Absolute (Rosa damascena),Chamomile Blue Oil (Matricaria chamomilla), Tagetes Oil (Tagetes minuta), Benzoin Resinoid (Styrax tonkinensis pierre), Lavender Flowers (Lavandula angustifolia),*Limonene (*Limonene), *Linalool (*Linalool)
Ground almonds gently exfoliate your face when you use the cleanser while the chamomile and lavender oil soothes your skin, reducing redness.
How to Use:
This facial cleanser's consistency is rather unusual - it's like a paste. To use it I scoop a pea-sized amount in my hand, wet it with water and then smush it and rub it between my hands. I gently rub this onto my face in circular motions to exfoliate a bit. And then just rinse off!
Pros
- Perfect for all skin types (I have oily skin and it works wonders to balance it)
- One small pot lasts a long time - you only need a little bit each time (great value for money)
- Reduces redness
- Helps control oil
- Does not leave skin feeling stripped of moisture and dry (I would say this face cleanser is very balancing)
- Leaves skin looking brighter and healthier
- Easy to travel with
Cons
- Messy to use
- Short shelf life
Overall, this face cleanser is one of my everyday essentials and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend it to anyone!
Let me know if you've tried this face cleanser and your thoughts on it :)
xx
