So a few months ago I decided to upgrade to Spotify Premium, which was probably one of the best decisions I've made in 2015. I'm way too lazy to download songs and update the music on my phone so Spotify is just so convenient for me to use and create playlists whenever I want.
(These songs are in no particular order)
I've been loving the song "The Beach" by The Neighbourhood. Their "Wiped Out!" album has some great tunes but this one is by far my favourite.
I've been playing "Love Yourself" by Justin Bieber on repeat since it came out...I am in love with this song and his whole "Purpose" album. Definitely my favourite album of 2015. Good job Biebs.
"Sun Models" by ODESZA is such a great song that has a dreamy feel to it. I saw ODESZA live at Listen Out festival and it was fun.
I'm not that into soul music but I've been loving "Lyin King" by Jhene Aiko. Her voice is so mesmerising.
"Teenage Dirtbag" by Wheatus is a song I will just always love. Love love love. It's just so good.
J. Cole is such a cutie and "G.O.M.D." is a song I've been listening to so much. Not only is it a great song but his music video for it holds deeper meanings as it comments on the deep-rooted racism and oppression in the American community.
"Lovefool" by The Cardigans is an old song but I've been listening to it non stop lately. It's so catchy.
Alison Wonderland is a Sydney-based EDM producer and DJ (yay supporting local artists) and her song "I Want U" is a great tune. I love pumping this really loud. I also saw her live at Listen Out festival and it was bloody great.
Troye Sivan has an interesting tone to his music and I've been loving his song "FOOLS" off his album "WILD". I met him recently when him and his mates came in for some burgers and beers at the restaurant I work at and he was such a sweet heart. I think I'm a fan.
"The Power of Love" by Gabrielle Aplin is just a beautiful song. [SPOILER ALERT] I first heard this during Francis II of France and Mary, Queen of Scots' wedding on the show 'Reign' and fell in love. It was a perfect song for their wedding and just such a sweet song.
One Direction's song "Perfect" is the best when you blast it really, really loud. It's so much fun.
"Bloodline" by James and the Wild Spirit is another song I heard off of the show 'Reign'. It is such a tune.
Finally, I've been loving "Golden" by Scars on 45. Love me some British alt-rock.
What are some of your favourite tunes? I always love music suggestions!
Love, Liz
xoxo
